London Trip

So, as promised, this week's post will be about my trip to London and will include some of the photographs I took.

At 5:30am on Wednesday 24th February, my alarm went off and I got ready very bleary eyed. I'd been excited about this trip for a while. A day out in London with the Photography department to take tonnes of photos. So once I was ready and had gathered everything I needed, off I went at 6:30am! We stopped off to drop my Dad at the train station first, and then to pick up my friend, before arriving at school at 7am on the dot. It was very strange being in the car park with only 2 or 3 cars. Once the coach had arrived we went on a journey and arrived in London at about 10:30am.

We started the day by visiting the Tate Modern Museum. This was a great opportunity to learn lots about a range of photographers and to take photos of some of the unique sculpture in the museum. Here are a few of the photos I gathered at the Tate Modern Museum:

After a few hours in the museum we headed out as a group and strolled along Southbank. I took lots of photographs on this walk, however some are a little too dark for my liking:

So after a long day, we headed home and arrived back at school at 7:30pm just in time to watch The Brits!

I hope you have enjoyed this post, it is slightly different but I like it!
Thank you for reading!

Some of my Photographs!

Hello everyone.
I hope you have had a good week. Today I am going to share some of my photographs with you. Photography is something I really enjoy. I am currently doing it as a GCSE in school and I also attend a club outside of school. So I am going to share a few photos with you. They will probably be quite random, but next week I am going to London on a trip and next weeks post will hopefully be all about my day.

So here goes!
This image is titles 'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside' it was taken on my iPhone 5S and I entered it into a competition at the club I go to outside of school. The theme was 'Summer Breeze' and this photograph scored 7/10 - I was very pleased, especially as it was my first competition and it was taken on an iPhone!

This next photo is titled 'Man on the Beach.' It mainly focuses on layered photography and it is a piece that I produced in school. I was going to enter it into competition but unfortunately it didn't fit the criteria (layered photography wasn't accepted.) I really like this photo as it has a real sense of mystery.

This photo doesn't have a title however I do really like it. It was the first photograph I took on my DSLR Camera - it turned out very well! I love the bright colours and summery feel. Also the reflections are effective.

This also doesn't have a title. It was taken when I was walking my dog. It was in the early stages of my photography and I was just experimenting. I really like how the berries stand out and how the background is out of focus. It was also taken on my DSLR camera.

This is the final photo I am going to share with you today. It was taken on the same day the above photo. I used in a photograph homework under the specification 'simple backgrounds.' I like how the boat stands out and how the photo was taken from a direct approach. This was also taken from my DSLR camera.

So that was just a sneak preview into my photography. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did comment which photo out of the 5 is your favourite. I hope you have a lovely week and I will be back next week with a post about my trip to London.

My first ever experience with The Vamps!

Hello everyone! Today I am going to share with you one of my Vamps experiences. I hope you enjoy.

So, the first experience I ever have to do with The Vamps is still one of the best! On Saturday 14th June 2014, my family, one of my friends and I headed to the Isle of Wight Festival for the day. It was early in the morning and my friend and I had been excited for this day for weeks. Once we had boarded the ferry for the crossing, we grabbed a table and a tea and we prepared for the journey. My friend and I decided that we would go on the outside deck to watch us leave the port, so off we went. We leaned on the barrier and took in our surroundings. Once we had left the port we decided to head back inside to get our drinks and to sit down. But as we got to the door to head back in my friend turned around and said "omg, is that the guy from The Vamps?!" I instantly replied "What? Where?" (she pointed) "Brad omg its Brad and James!" My heart began beating crazy amounts and we legged it down the stairs to my parents who were calmly sipping on their tea. "The Vamps are on this ferry, The Vamps are on this ferry!" I repeated. My mum looked confused and in shock, so she grabbed her camera and a notepad and pen. Then we went back up the stairs to find them. Just as we were about to go out, Brad and James were heading in. My mum said hi as me and my friend were too in shock to speak. She politely asked them "Can they get a photo please?" Brad quickly replied "Of course!" So we positioned ourselves. (left to right) James, my friend, Brad and me. We took some photos and hugged them. We then got their autographs and thanked them for letting us meet and speak to them. We all then headed down the stairs and my mum, friend and I went back to the table to actually have our drink and try to come back to earth! I instantly texted my friend (who is also a massive Vamps fan) and uploaded my photo onto instagram.

After meeting 2/4 of The Vamps, we were determined to find Connor and Tristan. So we went searching for them. I spotted Connor eating a full English breakfast in the restaurant but didn't want to disturb him. I think he spotted me too! I turned away for a split second and he was gone. We headed back outside and we turned a corner and there was Connor and Tristan with Fin looking over at the sea. I carefully approached and said "Sorry to disturb you, but can we have a photo please?" Connor replied "Of course" So this time my friend and I had separate photos with the boys. It was Tristan, me then Connor. A few people who were near us, quickly turned around and realised that they were famous. By this point I was totally freaking out and felt like an emotional wreck. It was only about 9:30am! The boys were so lovely and we had a conversation about festivals and it was so lovely - they are so genuine.

So after a very eventful ferry crossing we headed to the Isle of Wight Festival. It was a short drive from the port and once we arrived we headed straight in. When it got to seeing The Vamps perform in the big top tent we were sure to be there nice and early. So we watched the end of Neon Jungle's performance from the back and once most of the crowd had left we made our way to the front and we were 3 rows back on Connor's side. The boys performed an awesome set - especially as it was the first time I'd seen them. One song that stood out for me was when they sang Trumpets from their live lounge. I was not expecting that! Connor looked over at me several times in the performance and it literally made my heart melt. Overall their set was incredible.

Throughout the rest of the day we watched many acts such as John Newman and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, before heading home on the 2am ferry. It was an incredible day and I feel so lucky to have met the boys - especially in such a normal environment. They are such lovely, genuine people and its why I love them. Their set was awesome and it was the start of an era for me! I am now sat her almost 2 years later after having seen them 7 times in total and having met them twice. I am so grateful and I hope you all get to meet your idols one day because nothing can describe the feeling you get.

Thank you so much for reading this rather long post and if you enjoyed it then be sure to leave a comment.
Until next week, byyeee XX

January Favourites!

Hello my loves. I hope you've all had a good week and it's nearly half term! WOOOO!! Today I'm doing my January favourites, I know it's a little late but I thought I'd post anyway.
Okay, so I haven't ever done a monthly favourites so we'll see how this goes!

I am going to start with my beauty favourites of the month.

1. My first favourite is something I have owned for quite a while but only started using recently. It is Bourjois healthy mix foundation. I have very pale skin and eczema so my skin becomes very dry, now even though this foundation doesn't cover up my dry skin (I have never found one that has!) it is the closest one I have found! It leaves my skin looking fresh and instantly covers blemishes. I would totally recommend if you are looking for a foundation that is natural and has good coverage. It is also a reasonable price, £9.99.

2. My second favourite is Zoella's vanilla cream lip balm. I got this as a gift for Christmas and I love it! It is a nice colour, not too dark and amazing for me. Especially because I'm not a huge lipstick lover. Also it smells amazing! The packaging is really cute and perfect size to take anywhere. I'm not sure how much it was (it came in a set of two) as I got I for Christmas.

3. My next favourite is a bit odd. It is the Charli XCX rock & love impulse body spray. I got this recently and it smells incredible! It is in your usual impulse bottle but is decorated differently. I love it and it is perfect size to fit in my school bag if I need to top up during the day. It was only £1.99!

4. My next favourite I purchased a few weeks ago. It is the VO5 heat protectant spray. I purchased it after my other heat protectant was running low. I now use this everyday before straightening or drying my hair and it works magic! It also smells insane. It was around £4.

5. Moving away from beauty related favourites, my next one is a book. Now I am not a big reader but I got 'Girl Online On Tour' by Zoella for Christmas and I love it. I read 'Girl Online' last year and am hooked to the follow up. I have a lot of school work but I still try and make as much time to read this book. It is very relatable and I am just like Penny (main character) I would totally recommend for you all to read.

6. My next favourite is Celebrity Big Brother, it is kind of a guilty pleasure! I have watched every episode this series and am going to be lost after it finished tonight! It's been an explosive series but I love it! Scotty T to win!

7. The Jump is my next favourite. Now it only started last Sunday (31/1/16) and I've never watched a series before but I love it already.

8. Next up is my music favourites, I am just going to list some of my favourite songs from the past month:
Army - Ellie Goulding
You don't own me - Grace
7 years - Lukas Graham
Ex's & Oh's - Ellie King
Get Ugly - Jason Derulo
More and More - Fleur East
Amazing - Foxes
I have also been listening to these album's since they came out:
The Vamps - Wake Up
Little Mix - Get Weird
Shawn Mendes - Handwritten

So that's all my favourites for January 2016! I will hopefully be doing a favourites blog post every month. Have a lovely week everyone.
Hope you enjoyed xxx
